Experience Relief and Control
Have you ever thought, “I have all this trauma. I should have been in therapy a long time ago to manage those things, but I never went. Now on top of that, I'm dealing with this new stress! I have to do something different. I can't keep living like this.”
Many people don’t realize, that because they have not healed from their trauma they cannot show up in their relationships as the person they wanted to be. They fail to recognize that by not showing up in their relationship as the person that they truly want to be, they have caused space and distance that allowed for complete disruption and severe heartache.
There is a stark difference between being conscious in the world and being acclimated to it. What have you allowed yourself to be acclimated to and what are you ready to break free from? Majority of us have experienced trauma. It could have been a major car accident, a house fire, war, violence, neglect or abuse. But when we don't deal with our trauma, it shows up elsewhere, like in a relationship that we really cherish. This could end up leading to a situation where we experience further trauma and perpetuate our own trauma cycle.
